Officers in Arizona saves woman from burning home

MESA, Ariz. (CNN, KYMA) - Three Arizona police officers are being hailed as heroes after they rescued a woman from a burning home earlier this month.

The Mesa Police Department (MPD) released body cam footage showing the rescue.

Officers arrived on scene and found a vehicle engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to a nearby RV and house.

A man who escaped said his wife was trapped inside, and officers followed him back into the smoke-filled home.

They were able to find her and get everyone out to safety.

The three officers were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. They have since recovered, and one of them recounted that day.

"Property. That can be replaced, but a human life can't ,and that's what our main priority was since we got to the scene was to locate the people inside of the home and get them to safety, and I think that should be everyone's priority," said Officer Sanchez with MPD. "I know it's a difficult time that they're going through, but getting them to safety and out of them alive is our priority."

MPD says no one suffered any serious injuries.
