Police in Arizona rescue child in dangerous police chase

MESA, Ariz. (NBC, KYMA) - Police in Arizona released video of their capture of a domestic violence suspect who was driving recklessly with a child in the car.

The Mesa Police Department (MPD) says it happened last week, and says the driver assaulted the child's mother when she tried to take the child, a six-year-old boy, from him.

He sped off, running red lights and driving dangerously. Police were able to monitor the chase from the air.

Officers eventually used a grappler to stop him. The man was then arrested and the child was safely reunited with his mother.
