Homeland Security officers serve search warrants at bar in Phoenix

PHOENIX (NBC, KYMA) - Homeland Security officers serve search warrants at more than a dozen Zipps Bar and Grill restaurants in the Phoenix area.

Several officers could be seen inside a Downtown Phoenix location Monday afternoon.

Protesters arrived quickly, shouting at officers who carried several boxes, possibly documents, out of the restaurant.

Homeland Security Investigations Arizona says the action was part of a months-long criminal investigation.

They say the warrants were issued based on evidence of felony violations presented to a federal judge, and more information will be released in coming days.
