Swarm of bees causes deadly crash in Arizona

MESA, Ariz. (CNN, KYMA) - A swarm of bees caused a deadly crash which left one person dead and one person injured.

The crash happened in the area of Mesa Drive and McKellips Road at around 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

The bees were being transported in a truck when they somehow escaped and started stinging the driver, causing the driver to lose control and hit a pedestrian before crashing into a pole.

Both the driver and the pedestrian were taken to hospital, but the pedestrian died from their injuries. The driver is expected to survive.
