Governor Katie Hobbs orders flags at half-staff for firefighters killed near Show Low

PHOENIX (KYMA) - Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has order all state building flags to be lowered at half-staff this week.
According to a press release, this is to honor two firefighters who died in a vehicle crash Sunday evening while on-duty.
The press release says flags will be lowered Wednesday, September 17 for Brenna Kulikowski, and flags will be lowered for Damon Thompson on Thursday, September 18.
"I'm devastated by the tragic loss of Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District firefighters Brenna Kulikowski and Damon Thompson in the line of duty this week. We deeply appreciate their brave and selfless service to Arizonans. We mourn along with the community, and we will never forget their legacies and sacrifice," Governor Hobbs said in a statement.
The press release also says people, businesses and other organizations can participate in the tributes.
