Church services held in Charlie Kirk’s honor in Scottsdale and Phoenix

(NBC, KYMA) - People continue to mourn Charlie Kirk Sunday as church services were held in his honor in Scottsdale and Phoenix.

A mass was held Sunday in honor of kirk at the Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Scottsdale. Kirk was an Evangelical Christian, but was also beloved by many Catholics.

In Phoenix, Sunday's service at the Dream City Church was focused on Kirk. He was held up as an example of someone who had a great impact on the Christian faith through his works.

Kirk was shot and killed by a gunman Wednesday while holding an event on a college campus in Utah.
