Mrs. Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow, addresses the nation

(NBC, KYMA) - The widow of Charlie Kirk, Mrs. Erika Kirk, addressed her husband's assassination for the first time Friday night.

In her address to the nation, Mrs. Erika Kirk thanked local, state and federal law enforcement for capturing her husband's assassin, thanked the first responders who tried to save Kirk's life and thanked the police to make sure "there were no other victims" in the shooting.

"I want to thank the staffers of this...amazing Charlie Kirk Show who helped him broadcast from this studio, this chair, every day. He loved it. He loved what he did," she expressed.

She spoke on her late husband's friendships with Vice President J.D. Vance and the second lady, thanking them for their support in bringing Kirk home. President Donald Trump was also thanked during the remarks.

"Mr. President, my husband loved you. And he knew that you loved him too. He did. Your friendship was amazing. You supported him so well, as did he for you," she spoke.

She remembered all of the love her husband had for their family, his faith, and his mission, and even mentioned a private conversation the two had if he was to run for office saying his priority would have been to "revive the American family."

Mrs. Erika kirk also left a passionate message to those "responsible for his death," calling them "evildoers" who "have no idea what they have done."

"They should all know this: If you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before? You have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country, in this world. You have no idea.

You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry."
