Woman indicted on alleged pregnancy scheme against former ‘Bachelor’ star
MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. (CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Laura Owens faces seven counts in an indictment accusing her of altering an ultrasound image, lying under oath and fabricating a pregnancy video in an alleged scheme.
The man she claims was the father of her child, former 'Bachelor' star Clayton Echard, says that there's no possible way that she was ever pregnant as they never engaged in sexual intercourse.
This all began back in August of 2023 when Owens filed a paternity lawsuit in Maricopa County claiming she was pregnant with twins, even presenting an ultrasound image as evidence.
A judge would later find that image to be fake; taken from a nearly decade old YouTube video.
