Vice President visits Phoenix and meets with the Gila River Indian Community

PHOENIX (KYMA, KECY) - Vice President Kamala Harris arrived in Phoenix Thursday morning to meet with representatives from the Gila River Indian Community.

An arrival ceremony happened at the Gila Crossing Community School with Governor Stephen Lewis of the Gila River Indian Community.

The Vice President will deliver remarks on the impact initiatives from the Biden-Harris Administration that are dedicated to advancing opportunity for Tribal nations and communities.

Later in the day, the Vice President will visit a water infrastructure project, the Pima Maricopa Irrigation Project.
