YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - After being denied by the federal appeals court on Friday, 19 Republican led states send the fight to keep Title 42 in place to the Supreme Court.

According to a USA Today article, the states are asking the Supreme Court to temporarily block the Biden administration from ending Title 42.

While Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced the filing, Title 42 will expire at midnight on Wednesday.

Because of this, the states' timeline is tight, and they are asking the Supreme Court to move quickly than normal.

Recently, the court has issued an administrative stay, giving both Republicans and Democrats time to submit their written arguments.

If the court goes down that road, then Title 42 will temporarily be in place until the court's decision.

However, keeping Title 42 temporarily in place doesn't indicate who the court choose in their favor.
