Rural Metro responds to fire in Somerton

SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Rural Metro Fire responded to a fire in Somerton on Tuesday.

A tire caught fire with some brush in a lot with abandoned vehicles.

The fire was seen north of County 18th Street near a field but no buildings were in danger.

Two Rural Metro vehicles were spotted as firefighters attempted to take out the flames.
