Occupants increasing in hospitals

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY/AP) - On November 23, Arizona reported more than 3,000 COVID-19 cases and over 100 deaths in an already increasing surge, which brings concerns to the pandemic and hospitals.

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey's COVID-19 advisor and other hospital leaders will be meeting to discuss these conditions and how to help hospitals over the holidays.

Over 2,500 Coronavirus patients have been occupying rooms as of Monday, which is about half of related hospitalizations compared to winter of 2019.

Little capacity is available for coronavirus patients as other non-COVID patients are hospitalized as well.
