Tucson to raise minimum wage to $15 by 2025

Rates of inflation will apply after

TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY/AP) - An Election Day ballot measure to gradually increase Tuscon's minimum wage has been overwhelmingly approved, with the city to reach $15 an hour by 2025.

The state's minimum wage is at $12.15 an hour with small yearly increases to match the rate of inflation.

Tuscon's wages were voted in a 2-to-1 margin and will seeing small increases like the state yearly and then match inflation once the minimum reaches $15 an hour.
