WAUNAKEE, Wis. (AP) — Former President Donald Trump is spending the hours ahead of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate campaigning in Wisconsin. Trump stopped in a critical Democratic county where he’d never been before that is crucial to Democrat Kamala Harris’ hopes for winning the key battleground state. Before the presidential rivals’ running mates squared off in New York, Republican Trump appeared at a manufacturing facility in Waunakee, a suburb of Wisconsin’s capital city of Madison in the Democratic stronghold of Dane County. Later on Tuesday, Trump planned to hold an event at a museum in Milwaukee. Trump must cut into the large Democratic majority in Dane County to win statewide.
