BART train kills person on tracks near Orinda

ORINDA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a Bay Area Rapid Transit train has struck and killed a person on the tracks, shutting down service in Orinda. BART says the person was killed shortly after 4:40 p.m. near the station although details haven’t been released. The station was closed for about three hours. Orinda is northeast of San Francisco, across the bay.
