Police: officers shot armed woman who took hostage in LA
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say police shot and wounded an armed woman who held another woman hostage near a Los Angeles homeless encampment. ABC 7 reports the suspect was arrested and hospitalized in unknown condition after the shooting late Wednesday in downtown LA. She was not immediately identified. It wasn’t clear what led up to the shooting. The hostage and the officers were unhurt.
