EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Led by Jelani Simmons’ 18 points, the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles defeated the Southern Illinois Salukis 71-53 on Sunday night. The Screaming Eagles improved to 1-1 with the victory and the Salukis fell to 2-1.
