Ribbons By The River: An Indigenous Fashion Show

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Presented by Olivia Esperanza, and organized by Jennifer Townsend and Jessica Roosevelt, the Ribbons By The River Indigenous Fashion Show aims to celebrate the Indigenous culture and bring something unique to Yuma County.

Olivia, (@makeupppbyollie on social media,) is a Native American makeup artist that travels to do fashion shows all around the U.S. She decided to put this show together locally for our community to inspire and empower others.

Organizers also say that this event helps to unite and bring together different tribes in our community, such as the Cocopah tribe.

The Ribbons By The River Indigenous Fashion Show will take place on October 8, 2926, at 6:00 PM, at the Hilton Garden Inn Yuma. Doors will open at 5:30 P.M., and guests can expect to see vendors with clothes, jewelry and other accessories from the Indigenous cultures.

You can get tickets for the event at eventbrite.com. Tickets are $12.51 per person.

Olivia, Jennifer, Jessica and all organizers of the event want to thank these sponsors for helping make this event happen:
