Students detained after creating molotov cocktail in Mexicali school

MEXICALI, Mexico (KYMA) - Six middle school students created and detonated a molotov cocktail in a Mexicali school Thursday.

The students were detained by police and a security protocol was activated on campus. Police say the molotov cocktail was made inside the school.

The students remain in custody and are between 14 and 15-years-old.

Some parents are upset saying they were not notified about the explosion for several hours.

No injuries were reported.
