Temperatures continue to climb towards the 90s

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - I hope you didn't get too comfortable with temperatures sitting in the 70s, because they aren't coming back any time soon.

The Desert Southwest is living up to its name, as it continues to rise into above average ranges for high temps. Today's mid-80s conditions will take another step further with the Imperial Valley potentially hitting the 90s tomorrow. At the minimum, our California side of the region will see the upper-80s. This is where Yuma County can expect to get to tomorrow, as well.

For other conditions, wind gusts should lay off for at least the next day. As we are currently tracking, Wednesday may come with some heavier winds in the afternoon time frame. Currently, our air quality is looking healthy, but the heavier wind gusts always bring a threat of worsening conditions.

Clouds will continue to weave its way in and out of our region for the next several days, too. They should not hinder the sunshine a substantial amount, however.

Get ready for the heat to continue its rise!
