Tracking warmer than normal temperatures through next week

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Tracking daytime highs to trend in the 80s for the next several days, which is well above normal and pretty unseasonable for this time of year.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- It's another warm afternoon as highs climbed to the 80s for the majority of the Desert Southwest. Our average highs are between 68 and 69 degrees, so that is about 10-15 degrees warmer than normal.

A ridge of high pressure continues to dominate and stay put on the western part of the United States, which means warm and dry weather for the Desert Southwest.

Even looking ahead to next week, this extra warmth will continue into next week as our temperature outlook is still showing well-above-normal temperatures for the next 6-10 days.

Highs will stay in the 80s through early next week. I am tracking a few clouds on the weekend, but it will remain dry and warm.

I am tracking another warm week all of next week. We may finally see some weather pattern changes for Christmas week. Stay tuned.
