Sen. John Fetterman returns home after being hospitalized
(NBC, KYMA) - Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is back home after a cardiac episode led to a fall Thursday.
Sen. Fetterman posted a photo to X Saturday saying he is back home with his family. He wrote that he has made a full recovery after 20 stitches and a few days in the hospital.
The senator suffered from a serious cardiac condition that led to him falling and sustaining "minor injuries" to his face, according to his spokesperson.
In 2022 while campaigning for Senate, Fetterman had a pacemaker-defibrillator implanted after a stroke. The device can detect a cardiac abnormality but falls can still happen right before the device kicks on.
