11 people injured following violent knife attack on a train in the U.K.

(CNN, KYMA) - Two men are in custody after a violent knife attack onboard a train in Central England Saturday night.

U.K. police say eleven people were hospitalized after Saturday's attack. Two people are in critical condition as of Sunday morning.

British police say investigators have ruled out terrorism.

Police say after getting emergency calls about the attack, the train made an unplanned stop where armed officers arrested the suspects.

Authorities say the East Coast Main Line is one of the U.K.'s busiest and most important train routes.
