Hurricane Erin rapidly intensifies as its back to a Category 4 storm
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Hurricane Erin is back to a Category 4 storm.
As of late Sunday night, Erin had sustained winds of about 130 miles per hour and and tropical storm-force winds reaching out 230 miles an hour.
It isn't expected to make landfall, but tropical storm warnings are in effect for Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.
Meanwhile, Erin's outer bands hit Puerto Rico with heavy rain, causing flooding.
It rapidly intensified between Friday and Saturday, making history as one of the fastest-strengthening Atlantic storms on record.
Erin became a rare Category 5 storm for a bit Saturday before weakening.
