UPDATE (1:58 PM): More European leaders will join the big meeting at the White House Monday between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy than previously expected.

A total of seven key European and NATO leaders now making their way to the nation's capital to take part in that meeting in the Oval Office.

According to Reuters, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will also join the meeting as the leaders help to navigate America's new approach to ending the war.

Other leaders who plan to be in attendance are NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

The meeting comes just days after a high-stakes summit between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, which did not include Zelenskyy.

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A slew of European leaders will join Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House Monday.

The offices for German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Finnish President Alexander Stubb all confirmed they will meet with the President Donald Trump Monday.

President Trump spoke with the leaders and Zelenskky by phone on Saturday about America's new approach to ending Russia's war in Ukraine, which would see the U.S. taking part in a potential NATO-like security guarantee for Ukraine as part of a deal with Russia.

This comes after Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a summit in Alaska last Friday, which Zelenskyy was excluded from.
