CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Smoke from Canada hovers over Massachusetts

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Smoke from Canadian wildfires caused a hazy sunrise in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, August 5.

Footage and photos taken by X user Peter Payack (@peterpayackpoet) shows the smoky haze early Tuesday morning.

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection issued a statewide air-quality advisory because of the smoke.

According to news outlets, the Canadian wildfire smoke was expected to improve by Wednesday.
