Former President Biden posts to social media following prostate cancer diagnosis
(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Former President Joe Biden has made his first public statement concerning his recent prostate cancer diagnosis with a post on social media.
In the post to his X account, Biden wrote, "Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support."
The former president has been diagnosed with an "aggressive" form of prostate cancer.
According to former President Biden's office, the cancer has metastasized to the bone. However, they also say, "This cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management."
The former president and his family are reviewing treatment options.
