Local restaurant faces new challenges after devastating fire

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A safe space for Veterans is facing yet another challenge after a devastating fire

The fire tore through the American Veterans (AMVets) Service Organization just weeks ago.

In effort to rebuild, they've been setting aside salvageable items outside the building, but now they're experiencing a new setback: Thieves.

Manager Micheal Condon says, "People walk through here and they pick up stuff. We've lost a car trailer we’ve posted another small trailer. it's not so much frustrating as it just makes me cry."

The manager says this theft has set them back even more.

If you'd like to help them out, you can visit them at 8889 Frontage Road and see what they may need.
