Third eaglet in Big Bear working its way out of its shell

BIG BEAR, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A bald eagle family in California is about to get a little bigger.

Two chicks hatched earlier this week, and now, a third is working its way out of its shell as footage captured shows a hole forming on the egg as it sits in the nest above Big Bear.

Parents Jackie and Shadow are working to keep their fuzzy chicks fed while waiting for the new arrival.

You can watch the little family on the camera set up by "Friends of Big Bear Valley" HERE.
