QABATIYA, West Bank (AP) — Videos obtained by The Associated Press show Israeli soldiers pushing four apparently lifeless bodies from rooftops during a raid in the occupied West Bank. It was the latest in a series of suspected violations by Israeli forces since the start of the Israel-Hamas war. Rights groups say the videos from the town of Qabatiya provide fresh evidence of a pattern of excessive force toward Palestinians. The Israeli military says the treatment of the bodies on Thursday does not align with its “values” or its “expectations” of soldiers, and that it would launch an investigation. One of the bodies dropped from a roof was identified by a relative as Shadi Zakarneh, who Israel says was a militant leader in the town.
