FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Excessive heat warning to continue along with consistent winds

More very hot temperatures are on the way along with steady winds around 20 miles per hour

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Very hot temperatures will continue to be the main weather concern over the next week or so as strong high pressure dominates across the region.

A modest increase in moisture will likely result in isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms across the eastern Arizona high terrain over the next several days, but most locations will not see much if any rainfall.

Hotter temperatures are expected during the latter half of the week with major to extreme heat risk expected by this weekend.
