FIRST ALERT FORECAST: More strong winds on the way as temperatures increase

KYMA

Winds could approach 50 miles per hour in the Imperial Valley, as temperatures continue to rise within the triple-digit range

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Overall quiet and dry conditions will continue through the rest of the week with temperatures remaining at or slightly below normal.

A dry weather system moving into California today will bring breezy to windy conditions across the region this afternoon and evening.

For Sunday into next week, stronger high pressure is expected to at least partially move into the region resulting in hotter temperatures.

High temperatures are expected to rise to slightly above normal next week with readings around 110 degrees across at least the south-central Arizona deserts.
