Man sentenced to nine years for giving pills to victim found dead

TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A 25-year-old man was sentenced to nine years in prison along with three years of supervised release and pleaded guilty to giving fentanyl pills to a young person who died of an overdose.

Francisco Pantoja of Tucson, Ariz. gave three pills to the victim who was found unresponsive about three hours later on July 1, 2020, said the press release.

The press release also mentioned the cause of death was fentanyl intoxication.

Agents discovered over 5,500 fentanyl pills and approximately $21,000 in cash at Pantoja's residence said the press release.
