Yuma County Sheriff's Office

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The man accused of murdering a man at a Yuma gas station back in 2019 accepted a plea agreement today.

23-year-old Gabriel Aragon was in Yuma Superior Court today.

Aragon has originally faced a slew of charges, including premeditated first degree murder as well as a number of lesser ones.

But after taking the plea offered by the state, Aragon pled guilty to one charge of 2nd degree murder.

Back in March 2019, officers responded to a Chevron on 8th street in Yuma where they found 26-year-old Manuel Gonzalez-Bravo dead in a parked vehicle by a gas pump.

He had multiple gunshot wounds.

He will spend 16 to 22 years in prison with no possibility of probation and be forced to pay a $150,000 fine.

He will sentenced on January 19.
