YRMC receives recognition

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) has been recognized as a top hospital for surgical patient care in 2021.

The American College of Surgeons gave the hospital this distinction for providing care and preventing infections, complications, and re-admissions.

"We have things that we do in the preoperative area on special medication, and other thing that we do just to make sure you are the best taken care of so you won't get any infection, you are in safe hands and we're doing everything to what the national standard says what we should do," said YRMC Chief Nursing Officer Debra Aders.

YRMC was among 40 hospitals nationwide to receive this recognition.
