YCSO investigating homicide on Interstate 8

A body was reported on the side of the road just past Wellton

WELLTON, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - Yuma County Sheriff's Investigators are currently on Interstate 8 investigating a homicide.

Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) is reporting one victim.

A driver on the highway said they saw a body on the side of the road with law enforcement cars around it as well as a vehicle in the median with number markings on the ground nearby.

Sherriff's officers remain on the scene and are still investigating.

YCSO said more information would be available when the on-scene investigation has concluded.
