Yuma County begin recounting ballots for general election

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma County election officials will begin recounting ballots cast in the 2022 General Election.

The recount of all 46,830 ballots cast will begin after tabulators pass another logic and accuracy test tomorrow, December 7 at 9 a.m.

Yuma County Election Services mentioned in an article the general election results have triggered an automatic recount of the ballots cast.

This is due to the two statewide contests of Attorney General and Superintendent of Public Instruction, the recount is required by Arizona law.

In the article, it mentioned final recount results will be announced by the Maricopa Superior Court at the hearing on Thursday, December 22 at 9 a.m.
