ARIZONA (KYMA, KECY) - A former U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent was charged with three counts of sexually assaulting and kidnapping a minor.

Aaron Mitchell, a 27-year-old man, is facing three counts of a civil rights violation for sexually assaulting and kidnapping a minor victim, kidnapping a minor victim, and misleading state investigators.

According to the article and indictment, Mitchell was a CBP agent on April 25, 2022 and the alleged minor was 15 years old.

Mitchell allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted the minor victim.

The article also mentioned that Mitchell is also being charged with making a misleading statement to investigators regarding his conduct related to sexual assault and kidnapping.
