Trump hosts Controversial meeting

Washington DC- There is new fallout from Donald Trump's dinner with a known white nationalist…

As well as the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, who has also faced criticism for recent anti-semitic comments.

Donald Trump is facing a growing backlash tonight to his dinner last week with prominent white-nationalist Nick Fuentes at his private Mar A Lago club.

Former Vice President Mike Pence gave the strongest condemnation saying,

"Donald Trump was wrong for giving a white nationalist, antisemite and a holocaust denier a seat at the table, and I think he should apologize for it."

Republican politicians and Jewish groups now among those calling out the former President...

Senator Mitt Romney remarked that, "This is something which degrades him, frankly, to do what he's done. And it's something which diminishes the country as well. It's very unfortunate."

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchison, himself a potential 2024 candidate in the GOP presidential primary, sounded the alarm.

"I don't think it's a good idea for a leader that is setting an example for the country or the party to meet with an avowed racist or antisemite."

Moderate Maine senator Susan Collins also had something to add saying, "I condemn white supremacy and anti-semitism. The president should never have had a meal or even a meeting with Nick Fuentes."

Jonathan Greenblatt of the Anti Defamation League said, "It's appalling. It's unconscionable, and yes, it's entirely in character for Donald Trump."

The holocaust-denying podcaster Fuentes arriving at Mar A Lago as a guest of rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West - himself engulfed in controversy for past anti-semitic remarks.

West described their dinner with Mr. Trump in this since-deleted Twitter video, saying, "So Trump is really impressed with Nick Fuentes, unlike so many of the lawyers, unlike so many people that he was left with on his 2020 campaign."

In a series of social media posts - Mr. Trump denied knowing Fuentes - and said he used the dinner to advise West to stay out of politics.

Condemnations are piling up - including from would be primary challengers.

Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie calling the episode "another example of an awful lack of judgment," making him an "untenable" GOP standard bearer in 2024.
