Local church presents ‘Journey to Bethlehem’ this weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A local church is celebrating the holidays by displaying more than 400 Nativity scenes starting its "Journey to Bethlehem."

The First United Methodist Church of Yuma is holding its "Journey to Bethlehem."

The entrance fee is one dollar or one non-perishable food item.

All proceeds go towards Yuma families in need this holiday season.

"And we do it as a fundraiser for the food bank. we got all the nativities set up, we have our boutique area where we sell gifts and, on the back, we are going to sell soup, sandwiches, and baked goods," says Becky Nibe from the First United Methodist Church.

The event will be at the First United Methodist Church Friday, December 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, December 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
