2022 Quechan Indian Days event happening this weekend
The Quechan Indian Tribe will be hosting their event from Thursday, October 13 to Sunday, October 16
WINTERHAVEN, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Quechan Indian Tribe will be hosting their 2022 Quechan Indian Days event happening from October 13-16 to celebrate the resilience of their people.
The four day event will be held in Winterhaven, California and will have contests, a parade, food, music, performances and many more!
The public is welcomed to come, masks and social distancing is encouraged.
Registration deadline is one hour before the contests and tournaments begin.

Thursday, October 13, 2022
- 7:00 pm - Miss Quechan Pageant held at the Paradise Event Center
450 Quechan Drive, Winterhaven, California
Friday, October 14, 2022
Event located at 460 Quechan Road - Evergreen Park
- 6:00 am - Flag raising by Post 802
- 6:30 am - Special Diabetes Fun Run registration
- 7:00 am - Booths open and Fun Run begins
- 10:00 am - Elder Chair Valleyball (Quechan Community Center)
- 3:00 pm - Kids and adult games/group (Entertainment Center Stage)
- 7:00 pm - Cake walk
- 8:00 pm - Open Social Bird singing and dancing
Saturday, October 15, 2022
Event located at 460 Quechan Road - Evergreen Park
- 7:00 am - Booths open
- 8:00 am - Parade (beginning at the Quechan Administration Building (350 Picacho Road, Winterhaven, California) to Evergreen Park)
- 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Free family fun day in the park
- 12:00 pm - Volleyball tournament (Quechan Community Center)
- 2:00 pm - Bird competition begins
- 3:00 pm - Tortilla making contest
- 5:00 pm - Community BBQ
- 6:00 pm - Frybread contest
- 6:00 pm - Tug of War
- 7:00 pm - Bird singing and dance specials
