YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona Western College women's soccer (11-0) defeated the Cochise Apaches (10-4) 6-0 on Tuesday night at Matador Field.

The Lady Mats waited until 22 minutes into the match to score their first goal, as Sophomore midfielder used an extended run to put AWC on the board and up 1-0.

Dominance would end up defining the rest of the match for the Lady Mats, as just two minutes later, the Lady Mats would score again.

Three more goals would be scored in the first half alone.

Tuesday's win maintains AWC's first place position in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.

Only two more games remain in the regular season for head coach Ivan Dizdar's squad.

The Lady Mats will next be in action on the road, as they take on the Paradise Valley Pumas on Saturday Oct 15, at 2:30 p.m.
