UPDATE: Man fatally shot in El Centro

UPDATE (10/13/2022): The El Centro Police Department found Jonathan Hill, a 29-year-old man who had a gunshot wound around the area of the Phoenix Bar at 2354 S. 4th Street.

After being transported to the hospital, Hill died due to his injuries.

ECPD said the El Centro Detectives found a 30-year-old suspect involved who left the scene after the shooting and has been identified as the shooter and primary suspect.

The U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force found the suspect in an apartment on the 2300 block of Myrtle Road in Imperial on October 12 around 10 p.m.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked at the Imperial County Jail for murder and the bail was set for $1 million.

According to ECPD, there are multiple individuals involved in this altercation and are still being interviewed, this case is still an active investigation.

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - A man was found with a gunshot wound by the El Centro Police Department (ECPD) on Monday, October 10 around 12:45 a.m.

According to the El Centro Police Department, the man was found on the 2300 block of South Fourth street in El Centro and had a gunshot wound.

The man was treated and taken to the El Centro Regional Medical Center and passed away due to his injuries.

ECPD said this case is still under investigation and that the suspects were described as adult males who left the scene on foot, the weapon used hasn't been found.
