Possible school threat in Yuma County

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) said they received information on Sept. 29 around 7 p.m. of a possible threat of violence that will happen at a school on Sept. 30.

According to YPD, the threat was an image from social media that was also used in another school threat in Florida from 2021.

The Yuma Union High School District and YPD said they are currently investigating this threat and have not found the threat to be credible.
