YPD hosts 20th annual G.A.I.N. event in Yuma

The G.A.I.N. event will be on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of Yuma Police Department will be hosting the 20th annual Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods (G.A.I.N.) event on October 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event helps promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity and is held by police agencies.

It also enables area law enforcement, military, fire and rescue agencies to bring some of their equipment to display to the public and for the community to meet them.

There will be other local organizations, businesses, and non-profits at the event.

Participants are welcomed to speak about safety programs, careers and public safety issues with the community.

The G.A.I.N. event will be located in the Target store parking lot, 1450 E. Yuma Palms Parkway.
