Imperial County is calling out to the community for help with the upcoming election

IMPERIAL VALLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial County Registrar of Voters is asking the community for 'Election Heroes' to help run elections in different areas that will also include pay.

Election workers must be:

  • Registered voter in California
  • Legal permanent resident of the U.S.
  • High school student ages 16 or older with a 2.5 GPA, must have teacher and parent permission

Election workers will receive training and be given the opportunity to serve the community.

On early voting and Election Day, election workers will greet voters, answer questions and explain how to cast a ballot.
