Imperial County Board of Supervisors approve over $500 million fiscal year budget
The Imperial County Board of Supervisors approve the fiscal year 2022-2023 budget for the community
IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial County Board of Supervisors voted to approve the $598.1 million budget for the fiscal year of 2022-2023 that will help meet the needs of the community.
These investments will go towards critical areas such as public protection, public assistance, health, sanitation and County employees that make sure the needed resources are serving the people of Imperial County.
The budget is made up of both state and federal funding, including other revenues that are for certain programs that bring services to residents through the County's 26 departments said the Imperial County Executive Office.
Here is the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 spending plan:

- $7.6M, Probation and Corrections
- $753K, reallocation of Fire Department salary ranges
- $7M, District Attorney
- $4.1M, Public Defender
- $204.7M towards Public Assistance

- Â $18.4M, In-Home Support Services
- Â $35.2M, CalWorks Assistance programs
- $56.6M, Social Services
- $13.8M, Foster Care Assistance Program
- $138.2M towards Health and Sanitation
- $12.5M, Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment programs
- $24.7M, Mental Health Services Act
- $59.6M, Behavioral Health Services
