FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Calm winds and hot days on the way for the Desert Southwest

While winds are expected to stay calm for most of the area temperatures continue to rise as we head into the Fall season

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Plentiful moisture persisting across much of the area today will
bring additional chances for isolated showers and thunderstorms across south-central and eastern Arizona. High pressure will then strengthen across the region starting Friday aiding in an eventual return to dry conditions areawide and temperatures warming to
above normal starting this weekend.
