Lane restrictions on I-8 near Wellton for repairs

The Arizona Department of Transportation will have lane restrictions on I-8 near Wellton on Sept. 22

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) announced there will be construction work and lane restrictions on Interstate 8 near Wellton on September 22 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m..

ADOT said maintenance crews are scheduled to repair guardrail damage.

Here are the restrictions that will be in place:

  • Eastbound of the I-8 will only have one lane and will be located between Avenue 33E and Avenue 34E.
  • There will be a 20-foot vehicle width restriction.
  • Speed limit is reduced to 55 mph.
