Local representative Tim Dunn helps open trade office in Germany

Dunn and 10 other state legislators traveled to Frankfurt to open the office

YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) -Representative Tim Dunn spoke to the Colorado River Tea Party about the Arizona state trip to Germany.

As the state opened a trade office in Frankfurt.

“We’re trying to bring trade into Arizona, and create jobs. We can also help our existing businesses expand overseas," Dunn said.

Dunn says the office can not only open opportunities for German companies to create jobs in Arizona, but all of Europe.

“Frankfurt is a strategic location," Dunn said. "It’s the financial center of Europe. From there we can connect with other countries.”

Also included in the itinerary was a stop at an army base outside of Frankfurt.

With ties to the Yuma Proving Ground.

“I explained to them I was from Yuma, and two of the officers had been here,” Dunn said.

Dunn says next year the Arizona state government plans on opening a new trade office in Taiwan.
